Bleach Tray Instructions

1.    Brush Your Teeth, Begin by brushing your teeth thoroughly to remove

  any surface debris.

2.    Apply the Gel to the Trays,

        a.  Use the application tip to gently deposit the gel into each tooth

shaped compartment of the custom-fit whitening tray.

        b.  Avoid over filling the tray. More doesn't mean faster or stronger

bleaching. Just a small amount will displace across the teeth once

             the tray is inserted.

        c.  We suggest not placing gel on the back teeth. Typically, people only

bleach the front teeth. It’s your preference.

3.     Insert the Trays, Carefully seat the tray in your mouth, ensuring the gel

covers the teeth you want to whiten.

4.     Wipe Away Excess Gel, Use a tissue or dry, soft brush to remove any

        excess gel around the mouth.

5.     Wear Time, Wear the tray for the recommended time, which is typically

30 minutes or as directed by your dentist.

6.     Remove and Rinse, After the prescribed time, remove the tray. Rinse

your mouth and the tray with warm water.

7.     Final Brush, Brush your teeth again to remove any remaining gel.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Custom-Fit Trays

Opalescence bleaching gel is designed to be used with custom-fit whitening trays made by your dentist office.  The trays are made by first having impressions made of your teeth by someone in the dentist office. The impressions are used to make stone models of your teeth. These are then used to make a vacuum formed tray that perfectly fits your teeth while allowing room for the gel to be placed.  Expect this process to take one to three days.

Treatment

Results will vary for each individual. Preferred treatment duration is 14 days. This length of time will most likely reveal your optimum results. After which a monthly one- or two-day touchup application is recommended.

Sensitivity

·      You may or may not have sensitivity. It is not uncommon but everyone is different. Most experience minimal issues.

·      If you do experience sensitivity, you may need to take breaks between

treatments or shorten the duration of each treatment.

·      Using a desensitizing toothpaste such as Sensodyne

will also greatly help. We also have UltraEZ available for purchase in office. (A desensitizing gel by Opalescence)

 Avoid Staining

·      Do not eat, drink or smoke while whitening trays are in your mouth

·      Do not smoke immediately after treatment, wait at least 2 hours

·      Foods and drinks containing strong color (red wine, coffee, tea, etc) should be avoided for at least 48 hours after treatment

Storage

·      Store the Opalescence syringes in a cool place, such as the refrigerator, to prevent the gel from drying out.

·      It is best to avoid use after expiration date. Over a period of time, the bleach will degrade and become less effective.

Consult Dentist/Hygienist

If you have any concerns or questions, consult our office

            before using Opalescence.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE: Store in a cool and out of direct sunlight place (2°-25°C / 35°-77°F). Teeth whitening gel typically has a shelf life of 12-24 months from the date of manufacture, depending on the specific batch. Again, It's crucial to store the gel in a cool place, ideally refrigerated, to ensure its effectiveness.

PRECAUTIONS: To be used under the supervision of a dentist. Keep out of reach of children. It is not recommended to be used by pregnant or lactating women. Discontinue use if any unusual sensitivity or reactions occur and consult your dentist. MSDS available at www.sdi.com.au.
